Eight categories, four challenges

The official 2027 rules will be released on January 15, 2027. In the meantime, the 2026 documents are available here for reference. The files below are the Spanish versions; the official English rules are published at wro-association.org.

RoboMission

Elementary (ages 8 to 12), Junior (11 to 15) and Senior (14 to 19)

Teams build and code an autonomous robot that solves specific tasks on a game field. Each round, the objects change position.

RoboSports

Ages 11 to 19

Each team's two autonomous robots compete in a sport. In 2026 it was doubles tennis: a fast-paced challenge of real-time strategy.
